Step 1: Students take four surveys on wiscareers.wisc.edu to find out their interests in a job. They create note cards on each survey to describe their interests.
Step 2: Students use their survey results to research careers. They choose a career and create note cards describing it. Students also visit the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics for more information.
Step 3: Students search for colleges that offer their career of choice. They choose one and create note cards describing it.
Step 4: Students create transition cards for each set of note cards. Then, they put all of their note cards together on a ring to create a rough draft for their career research paper. This paper is used to help plan out their high school courses during the third quarter with the guidance counselors. Throughout the process, students create a working bibliography.
